D’s Polishing, Inc., was founded in October, 1963. Since it’s origin, the company has specialized in preparing ferrous and non-ferrous materials for final finishing. When the company began, it operated out of the garage of it’s first owner. The customer base consisted largely of the general public who had home-based items they needed polished. The company slowly grew and was able to occupy a 1200 square foot building located on 13th Street in East Moline, Illinois. The company changed ownership and continued operating out of that location for a number of years.

In early 2003, the company changed ownership to it's current stockholders. The name of the company was updated to D’s Polishing & Metal Finishing, Inc., in order reflect a better understanding of what all the company can now offer. The company now occupys over a 10,000 square foot facility. Machinery includes tube polishers, Time Savers, belt sanders, stroker sanders, high speed buffers, and many specialized hand tools.The current ownership team has more than doubled the employee base and added multiple customers, all with production quantity runs. Processes and procedures have been put in place and while some employees remain specialized, they are cross-trained in all facets of the many services the company offers. A quality system was put in place guaranteeing our customers an acceptable product, every time. All equipment and machinery has been updated to allow us to meet the demands of today’s marketplace.
